Frequently Asked Questions
How old does my child have to be for a Boppity Bunnies Music class?
All the classes are age-appropriate with specific programmes for each age group. Boppity Babies classes are for 0-18m and Boppity Bunnies classes are for Mixed Ages up to either 3 or 4 years (please see timetable for details).
Where are the classes held?
The classes are held at village venues in Mulbarton South Norfolk.
How long does a class last?
All the classes last 45 mintues. Please try to arrive about 5 minutes before class to allow your child time to settle in and get ready for the class.
What happens in a Boppity Bunnies Music Class?
Each class is specifically tailored for each age group but all start with waking up our Rabbit puppet, singing a ‘Hello’ song and finish with a ‘Goodbye’ song. During each class there will be a carefully planned mix of activities including singing, instruments, movement and dancing, sensory activities (such as bubbles, parachute, scarves, puppets and balls) and relaxation and cuddle time with sensory lights to finish.
Do I need to stay or can I drop my child off?
All our classes are designed to be a shared experience for families, so we would like you (or your child’s carer) to stay and join in. Whether you are a mummy, child-minder, grandma, daddy or auntie, you will be welcome to join us for musical fun. Other family members are welcome to join us too.
Please listen to Ali for instructions, encourage your child to join in, and model the activities for your little one.
Do you cater for children with special needs?
Yes we welcome children with special needs, although I would recommend that if you have questions about your child’s specific needs, please contact me first so I can make sure you will feel comfortable and supported in class.
Do I need to bring anything with me to class?
You don’t need to bring anything with you. Normally we take our shoes off to allow children to have a safer, more comfortable experience. Please leave food, drinks or special toys safely hidden away as they can be distracting for your child and others and can cause upset. There is usually room at the side of the hall to put any belongings.
What if my child does not want to participate in the class?
Please don’t worry if your child does not want to participate in the class initially, this is very common as children need time to get used to a new activity. Some children prefer to observe to start with, until they gain the confidence to join in with the actions or songs. Sometimes they may repeat the activities when they get home, where they feel most confident.
What if my child just wants to run around?
Don’t worry if your child becomes distracted and starts to wander off during the activities, just try to bring their interest back to the group by continuing to participate yourself and encourage them to join in. If you have an energetic little one, we will be doing lots of movement activities to keep them busy, and they will soon learn to sit during the quieter part of the class once they get used to the routines.
If you have any concerns about starting the class then please just speak to me and we can work together to ensure your child is settling in and getting the most from the activities.
